Since
1977 Richard Falco has worked as a photographer in New York. He
has traveled extensively throughout the world, working on assignments
in Asia, Africa, Europe and the United States. Photographs by Mr.
Falco have appeared in major publications throughout North America,
Europe and Asia. Clients include: Life, Newsweek, Time, Business
Week, New York Times, National Geographic Society, People, Geo,
New York Magazine, Stern, U.S. News & World Report. etc. He
is also the author of two books, To Bear Witness — September
11 and Medics: A Documentation of Paramedics in the Harlem Community.
An award winner at the Society of Publication Designers, his work
has been exhibited in New York and abroad. Exhibitions include:
Corcoran Gallery, Washington, DC; Here is New York: International
Center of Photography, NY; Nikon Galleries, Tokyo; New York Historical
Society, NY, & others.
Editor. Curator. Educator. Mr. Falco has some twenty years of teaching
experience. He has taught and lectured at a number of schools and
institutions; most notably, the New School of Social Research, the
School of Visual Arts, Purchase College, the Art Workshop at the
State University of New York, Sacred Heart University, Santa Fe
Photographic Workshops and elsewhere.
Another aspect of Mr. Falco’s work focuses on corporate, industrial
photography and portraiture. He has worked for many international
and national corporations such as: American Express; AT&T; Citibank:
General Electric; Hewlett Packard; IBM; Intel; ITT; JP Morgan/Chase;
Lockheed Martin; Met Life; Lucent Technologies; Pfizer; Prudential
Securities; Siemens Corporation; the World Health Organization:
& Yale University - to name a few.
